On this page I will try to keep up to date with the various documents and versions that form part of the Local Plan Process:
The main source of documents is (and should remain) the Council’s Planning Policy Website.
Oddly, there is no obvious place to find current Consultations but there is a consultations calendar here which has at least some of the opportunities for the public to have our say. This does not seem to map out the Local Plan consultation process and should, therefore, not be relied on as the prime source of information.
The first document consulted on by the Council was the Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report (GBC has a microsite for this topic here) and the documents (as at 25th July 2013) can be found below:
Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report
NB: There has been no publication of comments and representations since the public consultation over Christmas 2012-13.
Key to the process of bringing forward the Local Plan are two documents that were adopted by the Executive Committee of the Council in June 2013:
The Local Development Scheme (GBC’s microsite for this topic is here)
and
The Statement of Community Involvement in Planning (or Community Engagement Strategy) – GBC’s microsite for this topic is here.
There are separate posts on this website to deal with specific documents being brought forward and to make comments where appropriate.
